July Happenings

We were very busy in the month of July. 

 Here are a few more things we were able to squeeze in the during the month

Kiana attended Youth Conference in Chico

It was a fun surprise that her group was housed at Matt & Janae McLaughlin's house.

She knew she could, so she did!

We were so proud and happy for Andrea's accomplishment.  It was great to have the grandparents join us for the event.  We love our new college graduate!

July 4th!

The family got together for the 4th of July.  Sparklers and fireworks went off!  Along with lots of smiles, dancing to the lights and enjoying being together.

Weekend in San Francisco

We were able to finally take our "after tax season" trip the last weekend in June. Kiana invited Ella and we spent a couple of days in San Francisco.  Of course we stopped at the beach to enjoy the sand and waves.  The water was cold, but it always recharges my soul! 

We also stopped by Pier 39 and ate some yummy food, hiked to the top of the Coit tower, 

and played at the Exporitorium for FREE.  

I'm so glad we were able to take a little break and enjoy a couple of summer days!

June 2017

In June we celebrated Father's Day, hung out with family & friends, and had a wonderful visit with the Carlson Clan!

We all went to Young Women's Camp this year!

Kiana was a 5th level this year and was able to do the ROPES course.

Aaron helped at camp all week as a CAMP DAD.

I was asked to be one of the 6th Level Leaders.

We all had a GREAT time!

Mother's Day 2017

Elder Chatfield is looking great!

Kiana has been sleeping on a pull out couch for a long time, so we finally bought her a real bed! 

I love seeing Aaron and Kiana working together--great jobs guys!

Aaron and I got away for another weekend down to Monterey.

It was still a bit chilly, but we still enjoyed the coast and snuggling by the fire.

May is the time when the Harbor seals are nesting in Bay. 

I loved walking the coast line, soaking in the sun, and seeing the ocean wildlife.

Track Season 2017

There was A LOT of sprinting this spring and a lot of family came to watch Kiana race down the track. 

She was able to participate in the 100 Meter Dash, 800 Meter Dash & 4x100 Meter Relay.

Spring Break!

Spring break was filled with coloring eggs, swimming, Easter egg hunts and yummy treat baskets!

 We also took a day and went down to the Sacramento Zoo with Leanne and her family.  

 You're never too old to have some fun!

We drove up north with the grandparents to look for snow . . . . . we found it!

After our day trip to Inskip, we wanted to see how much snow was at Donner Ski Resort. 

Aaron and I went for a drive and found snow again--A LOT of snow!
