Card Shower

All of Leanne's friends & family threw her a "Card Shower".  Everyone sent her cards in the mail on a specific day letting her know how much they loved her.  It was  a lot of fun secretly saving the cards for her and then throwing her a "Card Party" complete with treats and party favors!
Leanne is LOVED!

Haircut

After Leanne started her first chemo treatment, she knew she would have to deal with hair loss.  It wasn't coming all out at once, so she decided to just go a bit shorter before it was all gone.  Kiana offered to help.  It was a fun experience despite the negative situation.  Kiana did an awesome job! Sometimes it's hard to find the good during times of bad, but Leanne did a great job and she still looks amazing even with short hair!

Easter 2016

March 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

My sister Leanne has been diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma cancer located in her abdomen. (DSRCT; Desmo-Plastic Small Round Cell Tumor) She will be getting treatment in San Francisco.  Their family will continue to stay with us during her chemo treatments and surgery.  We are praying that the doctors will know how to best treat her and we are relying on strength from our Heavenly Father to help us all endure this trial.  We love you Leanne!

Having the girls with us is keeping us VERY busy, but it also giving us A LOT of fun!

February 2016

The first week of Februray I was able to go down to Exeter and stay with Hazel & Caroline while Leanne was having dealing with some medical issues.
Bike riding, games, bubbles, playdough, etc kept us all busy.
Happy Valentine's Day--I LOVE this guy!
Aaron and I were able to go on the YW snow trip with Kiana.
The sun was shining and the snow was cold.
We now have "2 Littles" staying at our house.  While Leanne and Branndon are dealing with doctor appointments and hospital stays, we thought it would be easier for us to have the girls come live with us for a while so we could help take care of them.  It is a lot of work, but their smiles make it worth it!

January 2016

We started the year off right!  The Yuba City Stake had a scheduled temple day on January 1st, 2016.  Aaron and I were able to do a temple session while the girls participated in baptisms.  Although we had to wake up early, after staying up late the night before, it was a wonderful day to spend as a family and serving the Lord.
I was able to go with Aaron for a couple of days to San Diego, while he attended a training class for work.  It was beautiful weather in January and we really enjoyed the sun and time alone.
We got a new addition to our kitchen this month.  Our old dishwhasher wasn't doing the job, so Aaron installed a new one--it looks and works great! Thanks Honey!!!

Everyone needs a snow day.
We took all those available and headed north of Paradise until we found the snow.
Sledding, snowman, & hot chocolate kept us happy and busy.

November

We have lemon trees, which have produced A LOT of lemons.  Thanks to Leanne & Kiana we have beautiful lemons to share.
Running a Turkey Trot and having house guests for the holidays is always fun!

4 Wheeling with Grandpa Mike is a lot of fun too!

Every year we attend the Parrott Performance.
We love the funny songs and the wonderful feeling of Christmas Spirit we get from the program.
This year Kiana was able to help back stage with the youngest of the stage crew.

Halloween

This year for Halloween we were In-N-Out workers.  The Lion's Club hosted a Halloween party so Aaron and I had to come up with costumes.  Thanks to Seth, we had a few items to help with our outfits.  We also stopped by the restaurant for hats and fries to take to the party.  It was a lot of fun! Kiana wasn't into dressing up very much, but some fairy wings and a flowy pink skirt kept her happy at the ward Harvestival.

Anniversary in Monterey

Wow! I've been married to this guy for 23 years!
I love going to the temple, feeling the spirit, and seeing it's beauty reflected at night!
Aaron and I were able to take a few days and visit Monterey.  Aaron was attending some classes for work, but we found some time to explore the area.  We rented bikes one day and rode along a beautiful coastal trail. I love the beach and having some alone time with my hubby.
Happy Anniversary to us!

School Project

Kiana is taking a child development class in school.  For one of her units, she needed to care for a baby for several days.  Although the infant she brought home was not real, it behaved just like a real baby. Kiana had to change it, feed it, rock it, etc.  It digitally kept track of all the things she did and sent the results to her teacher.  It was a lot of work, but we think she did a great job!
